Hive Tech: Utilizing Technology to Enhance Beekeeping Outcomes

As technology advances in all aspects of our lives, the tools we use in managing bees has also been progressing. From what we now consider classic beekeeeping techonologies, like the langstroth hive, to new innovations, including vaporizers, grafting, and hive maintenace apps, beekeepers alike rely on technology to ensure the survival of their apiaries.

Apis Rescue aims to equip beekeepers with the necessary tools for successful beekeeping bringing these technologies to you in our 2025 Louisville Beekeeping and Research Conference. While LBRC is geared towards intermediate and advanced beekeepers, as well as honeybee researchers, even beginner beekeepers can benefit from the extensive talks by top names in the industry. Attending the conference gives you the opportunity to witness some of the best beekeeping content in the United States, presented in Intermediate, Advanced, and Research tracks. The Research track focuses on the latest discoveries and how they can be applied in beekeeping.

Speakeasy Fundraiser

March 28

O'Shea's Whisky Cellar
 123 W Main St, Louisville, KY 40202

Apis Rescue Inc. is pleased to announce our first annual “The Bees Knees” event.

This will be a 1920s-themed cocktail party with a selection of delicious appetizers from the O’Shea’s kitchen, tasty signature drinks using locally sourced honey, music, and socializing. We encourage you to dress according to the theme; however, there is no formal dress code.

Founded in 2021, Apis Rescue specializes in fostering local honeybee genetics to promote healthier, more sustainable apiaries that are better acclimated to the local climates. We are known for increasing public awareness of honeybees by holding beginner beekeeping classes, running a large honeybee Swarm Rescue Team that collects swarms from public and private property free of charge, as well as hosting a yearly Beekeeping and Research Conference.

This will be our most significant fundraising event for 2025 and for each subsequent year. All proceeds raised at this event will be used to support our ongoing operations, which include honeybee research and education, focusing on increasing local honeybee survivability. Honeybees provide essential pollinator services to many of our food sources as well as providing us with products we use in our daily lives, like honey and beeswax.

We would love to have your support and your attendance!
